Historic Day for LIUNA

Tuesday November 5th was an historic day for LIUNA in Massachusetts. Two of our own were elected mayor's in cities here. In Boston Marty Walsh was elected mayor in the City of Boston. Marty is a card carrying member of Laborers' Local 223 in Dorchester. Also in Brockton Bill Carpenter member of a public employees union there was elected. These results send a clear message to the political pundits who say organized labor can no longer win the big elections. Congratulations Marty and Bill from the members of Laborers' Local 473.
